When you know what you’re looking for and understand why a knot feels the way it does, the rest of the massage is a breeze.

Rhomboids (major & minor)
Lower Trapezius
These muscles are responsible for pulling things towards you
Stress collects here and is stored within these muscles
Explore your partners body
It literally feels like you’re massaging over train tracks. You can learn the anatomical names:
But its easier to call them the train tracks. And even easier when you can visualise you massaging over train tracks.
Just like the golf ball these knots do not go away. Tension is always felt but relief can be found (even if it is temporary).

LESSON 3 (starter classes)
The Levator Scapulae
This muscle is a common cause of tension headaches
I call this knot the ski jump. When inflamed it can feel so large it’ll feels like your hand will launch.
Explore your partners body
The ski jump can feel just like a golf ball. And they’re in close proximity, often massaged together in the one long massage stroke.
Muscle affected:
This knot is no joke. This muscle will cause all kinds of pain in your neck and leading up into your head.
Learn how to find the ski jump knot. And learn how to follow the muscle all the way up to where it attaches to bone at the top of the neck.
Key Points:
It’s undeniable, you’ll find this knot first time. It will feel like your thumbs were made to massage this spot.
LESSON 4 (starter classes)
Teres Major / Minor
Infraspinatus
When tight these muscles will make it difficult to raise your arm above your head, also rotating the arm will be painful.
These tiny muscles are incredibly strong and hold an immense amount of tension!
Explore your partners body
The knots found in the bloody hurts are diabolical. The tension within these muscles will make even the strongest of men cry, with almost no pressure needed. And the afterglow once released is heavenly.
These muscles and their knots MUST be explored.
Muscle affected:
These muscles have a direct relationship to how your arm moves. They help raise your arm above your head in multiple planes and also rotate your arm.
You use them every day. They’re heavily knotted and always under tension. Explore with care.
Key Points:
It’s important to start light and communicate often when massaging the bloody hurts. Too much may bring on tears.
LESSON 5 (starter classes)
Gluteus Maximum, Medius,
Minimus & Piriformis
When tight these muscles can cause sharp shooting pain into your glute and down your leg (known as sciatica).
Lower back pain and knee pain is common. You may have issues walking and problems with your ankles
Glute massage will always impress your partner. In this class let’s explore the muscles of the Glutes and find trigger points that feel like heaven when released.
Explore your partners body
The glutes hold the most impressive trigger points. These can be so tight that when massaged the entire leg may shake.
The release feels like heaven. Imagine a fresh pair of legs replaced to your body with better movement and pain free.
These muscles and their knots MUST be explored.
Muscle affected:
These muscles are integral to how you walk, sit and lay down flat. When tight they can affect how your hips are aligned which may even make one leg longer than the other.
They can cause rotation through your hips placing additional stress on your lower back. Create problems with how you walk.
These muscles are significant. They love massage and can handle deep pressure. Come explore the glutes.
