Melt Massage for Couples has been teaching couples massage for 16 years. Denis Merkas (your massage coach / professional massage practitioner) started the first 8 years teaching live workshops (in Melbourne Australia).
No practitioner has studied couples massage this extensively. Thousands of couples were taught, couples massage classes were large (max 50 people), it was fast paced and focused on fun.
IT’S SCIENCE…
Each year the techniques were refined (each workshop we’d evaluate what worked), we continued to test to see what couples enjoyed (if we got it right in face to face group environment, we’d get it right online). The online couples massage class includes the very best of what we learned over those 8 years of research.
What we learned:
- Massage clasess must be short – ave 4-mins.
- “Keep it simple, Denis…” couples need to “get-it” instantly!
- Techniques should be true follow-along. (1) Press play, (2) start massaging, (3) make your partner melt!
- Couples massage differently to professional practitioners. There are different expectations / intentions. What works in the clinic often doesn’t work at home.
- Silly names are easier to remember than anatomical names.
- Intimacy should be implied, not viewed. Our massage classes are non-sexual (easy to watch, no awkwardness but you can read between the lines).
INTIMACY IS IMPLIED, NOT VIEWED
This is what couples enjoy / appreciate the most. Learning couples massage techniques that offer connection and intimacy without it looking smutty or dirty. Melt Massage for Couples spent a lot of time focusing on getting this right, especially the online massage classes.
Live workshops are forgiving. It allows for face to face personality to shine through… Denis uses cheeky references and humour as ice breakers during live workshops – this makes the live performance fun and exciting… this doesn’t work online. Online the approach is subtle and focused on the art of couples massage.
We filmed Melt’s Couples Massage Videos with a hint of hint of intimacy, using clever camera angles, set design and lighting. As well as slow motion to help your brain understand how to build intimacy during the massage without invading your space with sexual footage.
IT’S ART
The result is an extremely classy production, beautiful to watch, easy to follow-along to with proper massage techniques that were tested on thousands of couples. Denis regards Melt as his artwork.
